I've been busy the past few months creating exotic new bling pieces and am now in the slow, finicky process of painting each piece with wonderful bright glazes. Lots of weird pods, vines and leaf-like shapes that are strange yet familiar at the same time - that will be bursting with colour when glaze fired. Right now they look rather dull, but once the glaze melts, they'll be spectacular and ready to adorn the trunks of trees everywhere...
KC, (which could stand for Kouch Cushion at this point) one of my 2 cats, watches the process with feigned indifference - unless I happen to drop one of the round baubles. Then he's in hot pursuit.
Below is a closeup of some Bling that's been glazed. I hope to have much of it fired by the middle of March.
