Felted Bookmark Workshop
Sunday September 20, from 10am - 12 noon
Are you part of a book club? Do you know people who love to read real books? Then this is a workshop for you!
You will learn how to make at least 6 beautiful hand-felted bookmarks out of wool, silks and funky yarns. Come with friends, or come alone. There will be a brief demo to get you started, then with guidance, you will create your own one-of-a-kind bookmarks in your favourite colours to take home with you that day. If you are with a book club, you can swap bookmarks at the end so you have a sampling of different colours and patterns.
You will be given enough clear sleeves for each bookmark you make, so they can be shared with your favourite book-lovers. They make great stocking stuffers and are light enough to inexpensively mail to friends and family around the world.
All supplies are included in the workshop, but please bring 2 large old bath towels and a sense of humour!
Cost: $28 per person, no tax

OPEN STUDIO: POTTERY
Thursdays from 1-4pm and/or 7-10pm, July & August (except July 26)
Are you interested in furthering your pottery skills in a relaxed but creative setting? You can come for handbuilding fun, or I have one wheel that you can book. I am not offering full lessons, but guidance as required for your projects. I can also observe your throwing skills and make suggestions for improvement. Bring your own clay & tools. If you don't have tools, you can borrow mine. Cost is $10/hour which includes most firing costs. You can also use my specially glazes for an extra fee.
Space is limited to 6 people per time slot, so please book your space. You can come as often as you like.
OPEN STUDIO: FELTING
Mondays from 7-10pm, Mondays from 1-4pm and/or 7-10pm, July & August
Are you interested in furthering your felting skills in a relaxed but creative & supportive setting? You can wet felt or needle felt or both. These sessions are not lessons, but guidance is certainly available for your projects. Cost is $7.50/hour plus supplies if you use mine (I will weigh your finished piece at the end of the session and charge by weight). I will supply water, bubble wrap, soap, noodles, spritzers, sheers, needles, foam. Please bring your own towels.
