OPEN HOUSE - 2 ways!
July 7-9 and July 10-11
It’s been quite a year and a half, hasn't it? I'm happy to say I've had my 2 jabs now and a looking forward to a more open world going forward. I am very fortunate in that I have a studio here and have created all this wonderful new art that I really want to share with people. And let’s face it, I need some human contact after all these months (at a safe distance, of course!). I’m rather hoping that you do too, and will come and visit!
So I’m offering something a bit different, yet still a bit the same: An Open House, with 2 distinct parts, depending on your comfort level!
PART ONE: JULY 7-9. You can book an appointment to have a private 30 minute studio visit, for you and up to 4 more of your family members. This option will be available for the first 3 days of the Open House, July 7 - 9. You can book anywhere from 10 am to 8pm, so you can pick a time and day that work best for you!
PART TWO: JULY 10 & 11: a true Open House, open to the public (with number restrictions based on the Covid Guidelines on that weekend), on July 10 and 11 from 10 - 5pm. You can just come, no appointment necessary! This 2 day opening is part of the Country Art Tour with 4 other studios open within a short drive in Kilbride and Campbellville. There's a total of 5 studios with 15 artists' work on display! A great way to get your art fix in!
I will have lots of pottery: garden art like dragon tails, flowers, mushrooms, tree bling and more. Also ceramic jewellery (pendants, earrings, adorable cat and dog pins, poppies), plates, jar frogs, vases, BUTTONS (millions of buttons!!), wine pendants and more. And some new stuff:
NEW this year: Yarn bowls and stitch markers for the knitters and crocheters in your life. The stitch markers make super gifts - knitters can never have enough stitch markers, you know... ;-)
Also NEW: Earring Bowls! keep your earrings paired and organized around the rim, store bracelets/watches etc in the bowl itself. Several colours to choose from.
These flowers are fresh out of the kiln and ready for the Open House.
PLUS! I'll have selected works by Burlington artist, Angie Trkulja of the Artful Blingster. Angie is a copper wire weaving and wrapping wizard and creates the most spectacular jewellery that is completely unique, and absolutely gorgeous.
And of course, my felted goodies like tapestries (paintings out of wool), jewellery, glasses & cell cases, purses, coasters, scarves, shawls, and more!
Here’s how it’ll work. If you want to come (and I hope you do!), you will have to click on the button below to book a 30 minute appointment. If you want to visit longer, please feel free to book 2 appointments back to back, or if you’re coming with friends, you can book several in a row and you can all have a visit with each other in between as well, while some are checking out the art! I’ll have seating areas set up in the yard. I have a large yard!
